I’m going to call it Tinkerbell. It has a collar and a bell – ptui!!!
It is insufferably cute in a black&white, dinky, feminine sort of way.
Marmers is acting like a very silly old cat: he mrrrrps, he meeps, he tries to prance along the fence and, in essence, he just looks bloody silly!
He is eleven human years old, stout in a Pooh-ish manner, with a decidedly floppy undercarriage and yet he persists in dancing, prancing and leering like a teencat. It’s DISGUSTIN’!!!
See for yourselves…
Well…I will tell you this, I never did see such brass neck! I was hardly under the gate before it was sneaking back into Rolling Ell.
No good will come of it, you mark my meaows.

I have always felt a close psychological relationship with Marmers and now it is set in GOLD! Good for you, Archaic Pal.
Fpu reflects that she is somehow not altogether surprised, Cap’n!
Portly old git does appear in an unflattering comparison to proverbial slinky young lady. No feathers flying?
I’d like to report that, as I remember the Cap’n, portly is not an epithet one could apply to his fine upstanding physique!
Marmers Marmers! No link to the two previous comments ;~)
well as I love Winnie the Pooh such comparisons will endear Marmers to me more,
sounds like someone has a touch of sour grapes and doesn’t want to share his friend or is even dare I say jealous!
Marmers looks very cuddly just what a girl needs now winters coming
Frances
tell fpu I love the roll overs as usual, one day I might learn how to do them I’ve noticed on my blog the roll over is the name I have labled the photo with, Frances
I think that’s because it’s easy to confuse two options, title and description. These are what we chose to replace the DSC numbers attached to each photo, Frances. We leave ‘description’ strictly blank.
(Strictly Blank is our answer to Strictly Come Dancing and we hope to franchise it soon).
thanks I’ll see what comes up the next time I up load a photo, I’ve never put anything in, the name I give my photos appears automaticly, guess it’s some kind of default in the system, so if it appears in description I’ll delete it and write what I want in the title, thanks, Frances
for the first three frames, Marmers appears fairly static…but then, by Golly, he fairly whizzes into action. Fudge and Licky are impressed. clearly it’s not just in Spring that a young cat’s fancy turns to Lurve….
Lerv leant wings to m’plump chump! But honestly, did you see the way she led him on with that come-hither look? So undignified!
I am a firm Marmers fan too. I like his new pal, should maybe make up for that grumpy, controlling, offhand ratbag Loki. (Sits back and waits for howls of rage at the Rolling Ell)
LOL I was hiding too as I expected howls of rage at my suggestion KC could be jealous! perhaps Loki is feeling ganged up on but we love him really don’t we
Frances
What a brave person you are, jeelie pîece–I can hear KC hissing, from here
****
Well done marmers old mate 3 cat gang are so happy 4 you ‘specially marmeduke ginger gits rule!! Yay
Awww poor KC. Have a furryhug and a *purr* from me. Let Marmers have his May/December moment
Whilst maintaining a dignified silence in the face of such ingratitude, I would like to record here my thanks to the lovely Mia, a queen among cats xxx
*purr*
Oh, I love Marmers’s new friend. A tuxedo cat! and a very slinky one too. Cutesville. Sorry KC, no skin off your handsome nose….
None removed, Jill. It is a pretty little brat. I can think of an elderly B&W kit who would jolly fine at her side. Admirable Figgy. But if you’d seen Marmers hirpling along the fence hull-ooing shamelessly! No decorum!
I’ll be getting my jeeliejotters I imagine, but I must support the Undercat, it’s only fair. (tosses silvery mane defiantly)
Aye…that’ll be the sodding undercat that constantly monopolises fpu’s lap, leaving me alone and palely loitering? Undercat ma furry erse!
You’ll be alright KC, it’s you she loves really. Spare a kind thought for your unloved compadre.
talking about ginger gits, mine has diappeared since 11′ish this morn–maybe he’s hitchiking up to tehport to stand alongside Marmers and/or chat up “”la belle minette”
Shit-stirrer! Oh. I so didn’t say that. Someone seems to be putting words into my mouth. And not for the first time…
That was for Jeelie not you taddoe. We’re looking out for your ginger git, though it is well dark by now and he should have found a B&B for the night.
hhhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiissssssssssssssssss
ginger git is back–from where no f*ing idea::typical of ginger gits
Oh excuse me. In defence of m’Marmalade Chum, I’d just like to say he is a real stop-at-home buddy and never goes a-roaming. Just thought I’d better mention it, in case he sits on me…
Sits or s*its?
Really! Marmers is a gentlekit! He would never shit on a pal!
KC – just remember how Marmers welcomed you in and let you snuggle up to him when you were a young slip of a thing. Let him have some freedom and a bit of fancy-freedom, if it comes to that.
You’re quite right Mad Lamb, I mustn’t grudge the old sod his tiny purrleasures. At his time of liff, they’re usually limited to filling his face and sleeping
I know how he feels. :sigh:
Arf arf. So like the home life of our Own Dear Jeelie…
So,how is the love affair coming along??
It’s cooled off a bit, taddoe. Tinklebell was beginning to irritate even Marmers, hanging about every morning under the weeping willow-leaved pear tree until he emerged through the catflap like Primula cheese from a tube.
We like your nutty avatar!
Oooft that is so unflattering a picture to conjure of Marmers
Well KC. Even an old dog(sorry Cat) can enjoy the wafting of Channel No. 9 in the breeze from time to time without participating in the nuptuals. been down that road before.Roy
But not, I suspect, for the same reason, Roy, seeing as how Marmers and I are both missing one or two small somethings
Well, maybe you can’t be a daddy but marmeduke and the late gabby the tabby still tried to have fun with Miss Mollie and babinette
G’Day KC. Have raised a glass of malt for Mick.
I wasn’t sure if it was today or tomorrow(17th) but think fondly of him
you’ve went awfully quiet KC–you got writers cramp???
Thanks very much Roy. It was the 10th…Fpu raised one or two herself.
You and Taddoe seem to be shouting a bit though, what with the distance from Oz and all, I’m not really surprised.
when I made comments the writing was normal and when published”"Roy and I were shouting”" NOT MY FAULT!!! and when did I make a comment about Gabby?? poor sod has been dead for some time–earlier comments on this post were ok!!
Now I’m shouting! I blame taddoe, she’ll have left her brackets open somewhere. Not for the first time either
Now all that nasty shouting is gone. I popped into Taddoe’s comment about Gabby the Randy Tabby and, sure enough, her pointy brackets were all to pot. No don’t thank me for sorting out the mess…
