I wull tell you this, the noise! the stour! the Disruption! It was awful.
Fpu swanned off to St Andies and Guardbridge, leaving m’Marmalade Chum and me to face the music. And the end result??? A huge draughty hole in the sitting room wall! Wtf was that about? And what is a sensitive feline to do?
This is what we did. Purrfectly sensibly, we decamped to the spare bedroom and curled up on some old friends. Like you do…
comfee and cosee and trying to ignore Things Going On Below
Here’s lookin’ at you…Marmers, put your tongue away!
Marmers shows his disdain and also his lovely clean toothypegs.
All quiet today so far…
Hello our furry friends! we are so happy to see your lovely wee faces. WTF was fpu doing in Guardbridge–buying paper straight of the machine????
We hope you will soon settle down in your new hacienda: furry hugs and meeps
As the Guardbridge paper mill is long closed and the buildings sold to St Andies Uni, that would’ve been difficult! She was looking at dinky wee wood-burners…
FC. Please instruct Fpu to consider a dual fuel burner, why, with wood burners you will have a FLY ASH problem on opening the door to feed additional burning stock. If you are not an asmatic ok, but its the dust cleanup. From one who knowes whats going on.Roy
Glad you found sanctufurry in some comfee places. And together… is this a new phase of bonding?
We were just huddling together for comfort🙂
That hole must have been truly terrifying for such close snuggling!
It is not sooo huge, but it goes all the way right uppa ‘ky *shudder*
I’m so glad Marmers sleeps with his tongue sticking out, so does Fudge, and very silly she looks too, in an insolent kind of way.
I think it looks pure stupit!
It must get awfully dry…
I shall ask him.
@Roy – we had a multifuel stove in First Orkney Hoose, because all the fuel in Orkney was imported anyway, but here a woodburner makes sense. Also, modern stoves have the ability to burn all away to almost nothing and ash can be vacuumed out or put in the compost bin.
glad you and marmers survied the deafening noise bet fpu had some dust to clean up when the hell finished, just think how warm you will be when the new burner is in and working, cat heaven me thinks 🙂 Frances
I am looking forward to it, Frances. Meanwhile, I am practicing stretching and rolling over in front of the old halogen heater.
Spock feels like this when Mr ML has a meeting in the house!! He finds a snook and waits until all the strange voices have gone.
Marmers and I really like ‘snook’ and ask purrmission to utilise it as and when!
Of course – sillywurdzRuz – just pay the fee 😉
Ooooh. Just found this blog update, KC. Long time no see. You and Marmers are so very brave, just getting on with things despite hardship and deprivation. I would say that you have a stiff upper lip except that the photos prove otherwise…
I don’t think it’s an upper lip issue so much as a lower jaw one … purrhaps MC needs his hinges tightened?
poor Marmers
We think we are awfully brave too, Jill, and have been rewarded with our 5th Catflap of Opporchancity.
from furryhugs to furrysnuggles. I like it. 😀
Mia you know very well I would give my not-inconsiderable eye teeth to furryhug and furrysnuggle with you😳
Oh, shame on you, KC. Poor Mia will be so embarrassed.
🙄
I am coveting your woodburner. Is this a sin? we want one in Millport, and when our ship comes home, we are having one, I tell you.
Six week ‘lead-in time’ so no need to covet yet. There’s many a slip… Seemingly we are to have blinds and curtings by next Friday. An unexpected five week lead-in time!
