Boy was I a thrilled kitty to come in through the Catflap of Destiny and discover fpu had just finished preparing six bonny bylte lobsters: my timing, as ever, was impeccable. Or so I thought…

Lovely, just!

Whoosh! I was up there faster than a punter up a hooer’s draaers!

Don’t get aerated, it’s just wee bits o’ taes, ken:-)

Unfortunately, I disrememberated© munching on some gress all-too-recently *sigh*

So glad there was some left over…not complaining like, but that fpu was just a bit quick mopping up the womit: it was very fresh…

I am always rather puzzled by some of the things bipeds get up to in the interests of relaxation: me, I just curl up somewhere warm and have a wee purr with my lovely green eyes shut. What more could one want?

So here we are, all cosied up on the sofa in CookieCutterCottage, having a bit of a snugfest…

…however, when the view is extended, you will see Flickery Thing, with a picture of what I believe is a ‘lead singer’ (whatever that is) singing a ‘song’ (HA!) called ‘The Fog On The Tyne’ on something called an Old Grey Whistle Test. And, incomprehensibly for someone in a tiny hot studio behind a lift shaft, wearing what I believe is called a ‘beanie’ hat – though what they called it in nineteen-canteen, guid kens…

…and here I am doing my Feel The Lerv Look and doing it rather well, though I say so as shouldn’t.

I never did learn if the purrson in the beanie passed the test…though there was one interesting line about kippers which got my vote.

Marmers and I are feline a bit spoiled. CCC has recently acquired one new patchwork seat cover; one extremely coloursome knee-blankie from Busy Fingers of Eek and a rug, which inexplicably matches Marmers.

The greeny-bluey bits match his eyes in case you were wondering. He’s not mouldering…yet…

I try not to feel a leetle huffed at all this Marmers-related stuff, but it’s not easy, even for a cat of my Zen-like nature, and the only way to redress the balance is to hog various of the new situpons when he isn’t. As even a cat of his avoirdupois can’t cover all of them all of the time, this is not unachievable, but requires careful planning and frequent recces…

Marmers snoozes on Old Blue

new multicolour ninepatch seat cover

marmers is nowhere to be seen and anyway, am I bovvered? naw! ‘m havin’ a wash.

fpu’s nice new knee blankie (well, that’s what she thinks)

and again…lovely lovely colours, ain’t they? (and by the way, Jill says it’s a cat blankie, so that’s that)

feckin’ poseur! lookit the smarmy marmy look on it’s face! gurrrrr…

…where’s my matching runner, hey? ’tisn’t fair mutter gurrumble grrr…

I’m really not sure why this picture is so big. As you can see, it is quite a large cucumber anyway. So far fpu has had it in salads, stirfry and soon, curry. Then purrobably salad again…

There’s only so much cucumber one person can eat, without repeating herself *smirk* However, Marmers and I are nothing if not gentlemen, so we desist from comment.

When her-two-doors-up presented it, she commented thet fpu wouldn’t be able to get her hand round it – laughter ensued. Marmers and I are still awaiting enlightenment.

We are not amused…

It has came to my attention that some of my fans are becoming rather too interested in the Marmers side of things: purrhaps I has bin a bit too generous with allowing his purrson to appear in my blog.

I am remedying this purrlous state of affairs forthwith! Time to redress the balance in favour of the handsomer one of us.

That’s me, just in case you felt like asking, “Who?” and risking a wallop around the chops in the purrocess…

There was a sunny day recently. No really, don’t laugh.

So I thought, why not have a quick wash and brush-up and give the Sun something to smile about.

Perils lurk in the Big Outside World of which a mere cat knows nothing.

It’s bad enough slipping slinkily out of one’s own Catflap of Opporchancity into one’s own Rolling Ell of a morning to find BBC teacosied malevolently under our bush, and having to call for back-up, without the need to go Farther Afield into towns and suchlike Scary Bits.

And, let me tell you, even fpu is not secure from the blandishments of Vile Capitalism: I knew we shouldn’t have let her go down to the end of the town without one of us.

It was only a trip to the Dump in Cupar: only a sudden decision to turn left out of Coal Road instead of right across endless traffic with the intention of using Lidl’s car park to do a U-ey: only the inadvertent thought, ‘I need olive oil’ – and look what happened!

Now, I may be just a innocent kitty, but that looks like a lot more than olive oil to me…

…but it is very comfee, and…

…Marmers purrefers Poäng, being of a more solid build, in both respects…

I purractice my Death-ray eye effect on fpu…

…and collect a few clumps of high-quality fluff for a gnat’s cushion…

…with the owner’s Full Permission would I lie to you? (Yes! ed.) NO!! I’ve no idea why that went red but it looks quite Cheery, so stet, A-men and suchlike.

I use my furry hammock (the £5:99 one, not Marmers:) all the time. It hangs on a Roaring Radiator and is extremely snugglesome.

We had a very nice one and hope you did too. This is our Christmas Branch, which me’n’Marmers did find a tad disappointing, as it takes a lot less undecorating than a whole tree: all our feline friends will know what I mean, purrticularly that rowdy lot, 4catgang, who not only do the undecorating, but also the total tree destruction scenario. Respec’ to 4catgang!

There must be something peculiarly bolshie about French cats, but that’s no surprise when you think about it.

Here’re me’n’Marmers enjoying our Chrissie dinner – Marmers had the honour of getting first dibs on Boris&Spock’s holographic placemat: I’m told that Mia also has one, so naturally, I’m all-of-a-flutter just thinking about us almost sharing the same purrlace at dinner!

Though I hope Marmers doesn’t get any ideas…

Fpu had a local peasant which did her two nights…
